98% of Antartica is covered by ice and a good deal of its surrounding water is also covered by ice so we had lots of opportunities to photograph ice on our trip. The ice ranged from tabular icebergs far bigger than our ship and stretching for literally miles
to smaller ones that showed that 80% of an iceberg was below water
and clear air and mighty mountains.
The ice even looked magnificent through Catherine’s infrared camera.
Of course the best use of the ice was for our drinks. Nothing beats like having your drink cooled by thousands of year old ice.
